Mia Wyatt is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Integrative Wellness Specialist at Providence Women’s Healthcare. As a midwife, Mia specializes in personalized care, tailoring her approach to care based on individual patient wishes, while maintaining the highest standards of care. For comprehensive gynecological care, Mia performs annual well-woman visits, birth control counseling, basic primary preventive care, nutrition optimization, and diagnostic problem visits. On the obstetrical side of the practice, Mia specializes in holistic care during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. She also works with fertility cases and the management of postpartum depression.

In addition to a Master’s degree in nursing, Mia has a post-graduate certificate in midwifery and is pursuing a post-graduate certificate in Family Practice with a focus on functional medicine. She also has certifications in IV nutritional therapy and is currently pursuing certification in methodologies for treatment resistant depression.

Mia began her first career in business as an Information Technology Consultant at Ernst & Young after graduating with a B.S in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina. After a few years in the corporate world, she decided to return to school to pursue her passion and honor her longing for a more rewarding career that helped change lives for the better. Graduating with a BS in Nursing from Duke University, Mia began working as an RN in the Emergency Room while pursuing her graduate and a post-graduate degree in Nursing and Nurse Midwifery at George Washington University.

Mia began her midwifery career in Georgia four years ago and feels blessed to have the opportunity to build partnerships with patients and their families and provide holistic healthcare. One of Mia’s passions is to continually learn within the healthcare field and grow her skill set in order to broaden her scope of practice and continue to be an asset to her patients. She is currently working with Dr. Dunson-Allen to launch Providence Wellness Center in order increase service offerings for overall health, beauty, and wellness.

Mia is currently an active member of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), and the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM). Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her twin daughters, traveling to new places, skiing, surfing, and scuba diving.
